Three Days in San Francisco
January 11, 2010
I’m a big fan of those lazy cloudy days where we all stay at home and enjoy the simpler things in life. For fans like me, San Francisco is a perfect destination this time of year. Later this week I will be traversing the streets of San Francisco and hopefully getting some damn good shots. It’s been more than a decade since I’ve visited California and I still remember the impressive beauty of the bay area.
My plans for the three days in San Francisco have not yet been finalized, mainly due to school and other frivolous activities
. I was hoping for at least one day of clear skies but the chances of that are pretty grim. It should be okay though, since shooting in cloudy conditions is actually beneficial for photographers during the day when the sun can be powerful. Spotty showers are expected so hopefully no torrential downpours. As for equipment I be bringing the D90 paired with the Tamron 17-50 2.8 and the Nikkor 70-300VR. I considered bringing my new Induro AKB1 tripod but the elevated security measures will make it difficult for me to carry on equipment of that nature (tripods are a grey area for the TSA). My Bogen-Manfrotto table tripod should be sufficient for the majority of the trip.

As some of you know I’m also an aviation fanatic so traveling can bring me the best of both worlds…and did I mention the food? I’ll keep you guys updated throughout the course of this trip.
Photos updates will also be available at Zenfolio
I look forward to visiting San Francisco but until then, I’ll be the studious student that is expected of me!
